PK&P's History
- 1983The patent and trademark law firm of Park & Associates was established in March, 1983 in Seoul, Korea by Jang Won PARK, who serves as its president. Since the early emergence in 1963 of the now burgeoning Korean intellectual property era, Mr. Park has accumulated a far and wide experience in his more than forty years' involvement in patent and trademark practice in Korea.
- 1984Firm's English name was changed from PARK & ASSOCIATES to PARK, KIM & PARTNER.
The firm has been authorized by the Korean Ministry of Defense for handling applications relating to secret and security-classified matters for filing in Korea and abroad on behalf of designated agencies and research institutes.
- 1986Moved to office location.
(Jewoo Bldg., 200 Nonhyun-dong, Gangnam-ku, Seoul).
- 2001Firm's Intranet network updated.
- 2008From only six members when founded, the firm now includes total of about 120 persons, including twenty-eight(28) highly qualified Korean patent attorneys handling all areas of patent and trademark law, four foreign legal consultants(2 U.S. patent attorneys, 1 U.S. patent agent, and 1 U.S. attorney-at-law) assisted by a committed support staff including many experienced patent, trademark, technical and foreign language specialists.
- 2010Moved to current office location.
